Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about starting your wellness journey
Getting Started
Absolutely not! Our programs are designed to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you're a complete beginner or have years of practice, we customize our approach to your experience level. Many of our most successful clients came to us with no previous experience whatsoever.
We recommend starting with a free consultation. During this 30-minute call, we'll discuss your goals, challenges, lifestyle, and preferences to recommend the best program for your needs. You can also explore our Services page to learn about each offering, or contact us with specific questions.
Just bring yourself and an open mind! We provide all necessary materials including mats, cushions, blankets, and any tools needed for your session. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You may want to bring water and avoid eating a heavy meal immediately before your session.
These are among the most common concerns we hear! Physical flexibility is not required for any of our practices. We offer chair-based options, use of props for support, and modifications for all body types and abilities. As for sitting still, we start with very short periods and gradually build your capacity. Most people are surprised by how quickly they adapt.
Programs & Services
Program length varies by type. Our specialized programs (like Sleep Optimization or Stress Management) typically run 8-12 weeks with weekly sessions. Personal coaching can be arranged for any duration, though we recommend a minimum of 3 months for sustainable results. Drop-in classes and workshops range from 1-3 hours. We'll help you choose the right commitment level during your consultation.
Yes! Many of our services are available virtually via video call. This includes personal coaching, group classes, workshops, and most specialized programs. Virtual sessions are just as effective as in-person for most practices, and offer the flexibility of joining from anywhere. Some services, like sound healing or certain therapies, are only available in-person.
Absolutely! We offer free introductory consultations and drop-in classes where you can experience our approach before making a larger commitment. We also have trial memberships and package deals that allow you to explore different services. We never want you to feel pressured - we believe the right fit is essential for success.
Personal coaching offers one-on-one attention, fully customized programming, flexible scheduling, and addresses your specific goals and challenges. Group classes provide community support, are more affordable, and follow a structured curriculum that benefits from group energy. Many clients find the best results come from combining both - personal coaching for customization and accountability, plus group classes for community and variety.

We offer payment plans for programs and package discounts when you commit to multiple sessions.
Yes! We believe wellness should be accessible to everyone. We offer interest-free payment plans for programs and memberships, sliding scale rates based on financial need, and a limited number of scholarship spots each quarter. We also accept HSA/FSA cards for many services. Please inquire during your consultation about what options might be available.
Our memberships are month-to-month with no long-term contract required. You can cancel at any time with 30 days notice. We also offer the option to pause your membership for up to 3 months if you need a break. Program packages are paid upfront but we're always willing to work with you if circumstances change.
While we don't directly bill insurance companies, many of our services are HSA/FSA eligible. We provide detailed receipts that some clients have successfully submitted to their insurance for reimbursement under wellness or preventive care benefits. We recommend checking with your specific insurance provider about coverage for wellness coaching, stress management programs, or complementary health services.
Scheduling & Policies
We require 24 hours notice for cancellations of private sessions. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance are charged at 50% of the session fee. No-shows are charged the full session fee. For group classes, you can cancel up to 2 hours before class start time through your member portal. We understand emergencies happen - please reach out and we'll work with you on a case-by-case basis.
For group classes, you can often book the same day if space is available. Private sessions typically need to be scheduled at least 2-3 days in advance, though we do our best to accommodate urgent requests. Popular time slots (early morning and evening) and specific practitioners may require booking 1-2 weeks ahead. Members get priority scheduling.
For group classes, we ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes early. If you arrive late, you may join quietly if the session has just begun, but we reserve the right to not admit latecomers if it would be disruptive. For private sessions, your session will end at the originally scheduled time even if you arrive late, to respect our practitioners' schedules and other clients. We recommend building in buffer time for traffic and parking.
Most of our adult programs are designed for ages 18 and up. We do offer some teen programs (ages 13-17) and occasionally family-friendly workshops. Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian present unless enrolled in a specifically teen-focused program. We're developing more youth programming - contact us if you're interested in bringing wellness practices to younger family members.
Health & Safety
Our practices are gentle and safe for most people. However, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before starting any new wellness program, especially if you have existing health conditions, injuries, or are pregnant. During your initial assessment, we'll ask about your health history and any concerns. We modify all practices as needed for individual safety and comfort.
Many of our practices, particularly mindfulness-based approaches, have strong research support for reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. However, we are not a substitute for mental health treatment. We work best as a complement to therapy or medical care. We're happy to coordinate with your mental health provider and have referrals to excellent therapists if needed. Many of our clients find that combining professional mental health care with our wellness practices provides the best results.
We maintain high cleanliness standards including regular sanitization of all equipment and surfaces, HEPA air filtration, reduced class sizes to allow distancing, and we provide sanitizer throughout the studio. We follow local health guidelines and update our policies as recommendations evolve. Virtual options remain available for those who prefer remote participation.
Yes! All our practitioners hold relevant certifications in their specialties - including Certified Mindfulness Teachers, National Board Certified Health Coaches, Registered Holistic Nutritionists, and various therapy certifications. Our team maintains continuing education requirements and holds liability insurance. You can learn more about specific credentials on our About page.
Results & Expectations
This varies by individual and program, but many clients report feeling some positive effects within the first 1-2 weeks - perhaps sleeping slightly better, feeling a bit calmer, or having more mental clarity. More significant transformations typically occur around the 6-8 week mark with consistent practice. Lasting change and deeply ingrained new habits generally take 3-6 months. Remember, wellness is a journey, not a destination!
We work closely with you to ensure you're getting value from your program. If something isn't working, we'll adjust the approach, try different techniques, or explore what might be blocking your progress. In the rare case that we genuinely aren't the right fit, we'll provide referrals to other practitioners or approaches that might serve you better. We offer a satisfaction guarantee - if you're not seeing progress, we'll work with you to make it right.
While not mandatory, home practice significantly enhances results. We provide practices and assignments scaled to your available time and commitment level. Even 5-10 minutes daily can make a meaningful difference. We support you with guided recordings, reminders, and accountability check-ins to help integrate practices into your daily life. That said, we meet you where you are - some practice is always better than none.
You'll have established practices and tools you can continue using independently. Many clients choose to transition to our membership for ongoing support and community, schedule occasional check-in sessions for accountability, or enroll in additional programs to deepen specific areas. We provide integration support and maintenance strategies to help sustain your progress long-term. Your wellness journey continues - we're here as long as you need us.
